Graham Simmonds
Managing Director and Co-founder

Prior to becoming the Managing Director of Green Rewards I was the Chief Executive of Trees for Cities, the environmental charity which I led and built up over the last 12 years. I’m also a member of the Forestry Commission’s Regional Advisory Committee for London, and have advised a number of companies on green issues (eg CNN, Time Out) and am a regular contributor to the media on sustainability.

I co-founded Green Rewards in 2006, believing that less stick and more carrot was needed to incentivise people and organisations to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. Prior to Trees for Cities I held a number of positions including Communications Director at The Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce and Relationship Marketing Manager for British Airways.

My favourite Green Reward is the day out kayaking as I love getting out into the great outdoors with my wife and children -  and I travel to work by a mixture of bike and public transport.

Benjamin Colchester
Web Content & Architecture Manager

Before Green Rewards I ran my own freelance design company and have been in the design business for 6 years, starting off with a degree in Product Design at Central St. Martin’s in London.

My favourite Green Reward by far is the really cool Sunjar because of its funny function and simple design. I travel to work by pedalo and when the moat is at low tide I cycle.

Dominic Davies
Account Manager

Before Green Rewards I worked for the UK’s leading paper merchant, the Robert Horne Group, dealing with a wide range of corporate partners. I was particularly involved in the recycled options for their paper supply and print. I have also been active in running my own film and photography projects in East London working with talented local artists.  I am very lucky to be able to walk to work every day!

My favourite Green Reward is Teaching Urban Children from Trees for Cities – I love how many people can be rewarded from this simple task; from the pupils that plant the tree, to the residents that can enjoy it for years to come.

Rebecca Dell
PR & Communications Co-ordinator

I previously worked at the environmental charity Trees for Cities and for Help A London Child at Capital FM.

I love the solar powered fairy lights which are currently sparkling at the bottom of my garden! I have so far avoided ever owning a car, and proudly travel around by bike and public transport. I like chocolate and making mischief.

Anushka Hari
Finance Manager

I’m a Chartered Management Accountant and I work with entrepreneurial companies who are passionate about what they do! I help them to keep control of their numbers so they can focus on doing what they do best.

My favourite green reward is Auguste the duck – who could not love that face?  I travel to work courtesy of Transport for London.

Leona Mani
Head of Retail

In 2007, Leona was project manager for the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act commemoration events. This gave her an understanding of the importance of promoting the Fairtrade industry and led to her setting up BestFairtrade.com.

As the managing director of BestFairtrade.com, Leona aims to raise awareness of the huge range of Fairtrade products available and also to promote smaller businesses. BestFairtrade.com is the only web-based directory for Fairtrade products.

After graduating in International Business, Leona worked in Hong Kong and India where she gained first hand experience of trading in the textile industry. Leona is also a governor of a C of E primary school in Central London.

David Bacon
Non-Executive Director

I am a Chartered Accountant with several interests in the business and charity sectors. I am also the Chairman of Sumerian Investments Limited, Honorary Treasurer and Trustee of The Chickenshed Theatre Trust and spent much of my working life as Managing Director of Camellia PLC.

As well as business and charity work, I am passionate about sport and books. I was a Founder Member of The Sports Council of Great Britain and with my wife, Leslie, am a keen supporter of the British Library. On the Green Rewards site, I am enthralled by the Natural History Museum range. I am a keen walker and use public transport where possible.

Melvin Benn
Non-Executive Director

I’m Managing Director of Festival Republic, the UK’s leading festival and events promoter.  I have over three decades of experience in the industry and Festival Republic’s dynamic portfolio currently includes Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Big Chill, Glastonbury, Hove (Norway) and Electric Picnic (Ireland).

Encouraging festival goers to participate in green initiatives often leads to similar actions in their everyday lives. In fact, much of Festival Republic’s audience already acts sustainably at home and expects the same, if not more, when attending the festivals.  Festival Republic raises over £200,000 for charity each year through guest donations and arena entrance collections.  Donations to Trees for Cities have recently funded the planting of several edible orchards in schools in Reading, so my favourite Green Reward would be the School Orchard in Peru. A great concept to be enjoyed in schools worldwide!

Amy Clarke
Non-Executive Director

I work in the field of business sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and have over 15 years experience both in consultancy and in-house practice, with companies including Bank of America, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Microsoft to name a few. More recently I have established my own business, Bubble Consultancy, aimed at advising on strategic social, environmental and economic innovation. It's an incredible exciting time for people like me, real change is afoot and I know I speak for an ever growing community of people who are very excited about the potential to make significant environmental and social differences through shifting consumer behavior as well as organisational behaviour.

My favourite Green Rewards product is the Classic Low Cut Sneakers from Ethletic, great for dog walking on a sunny day, much nicer than Converse and a fabulous colour! I travel to work by public transport and on foot (obviously in my nice new Ethletic Sneakers).

Neil Fox
Non-Executive Director

I have been a broadcaster for 25 years now and currently host Magic FM's breakfast show which I love. For the last 15 years I have also spent a lot of time on people's TV screens and also have a company that creates TV formats. I was recently inducted into the UK radio Hall of Fame and this year picked up the Arqiva Gold award and Sony Gold for my outstanding contribution to the UK radio industry.

I have been married for 10 years now and have three children of my own and am, like all responsible parents, concerned about the state of our planet and what we will leave for them and future generations. That's one reason why I am so excited to be working with Green Rewards as I believe that incentivising people to live a greener life can only be a good thing in kick-starting the change in people's attitudes to climate change.

My favourite Green Reward is unsurprisingly the Pure DAB Radio…! I have a confession to make, and that’s that I normally travel to work by my fabulous Harley, but I am about to start a month’s trial using the electric scooter instead. Watch this space!

Richard Hammond
Co-founder and Non-Executive Director

I'm the other co-founder of Green Rewards, and my day job is Managing Director of Spirit, the creative agency that I founded in 1999. Before that I held senior positions with various agencies including Bozell Worldwide and Leagas Delaney.

I’m also on the Board of Mobility Driverless Buses and a Patron of the environmental charity, Trees for Cities. I’ve developed a number of award winning campaigns and particularly enjoy assignments with a green objective such as the water-saving campaign I ran for Thames Water. I love the Solar Monkey Charger for charging my mobile and iPod and travel to work by public transport.
