Bumble Bee Nester Kit

The Bumble Bee Nester ensures a dry and safe space for the bees and is a fantastic educational tool.

It is constructed from thick durable timber (Cedar/Larch/Alder) and recycled plastic from agricultural sources. The overhanging roof can be opened to reveal an internal and removable viewing window. Vent holes are provided for good air flow. A back timber strap is incorporated to allow the nester to be fixed in an elevated location (up to 2 metres high).  The front elevation features a combination of white, yellow and blue colours which our research indicates acts as an attractor to queen bumble bees.
