Antique Linen Boardwalk Shopper
A beautiful 'shopper' designed by Tamara Fogle.
These bags are made using antique Hungarian grain sacks, dating from 1910 - 1930. The sacks were hand-woven with flax linen, known for its durability and strength. The weaver would indicate where in the country they came from.
What better than to take a wonderful, very functional antique fabric full of history and character and revive, recycle and re-new it; to turn it into something that we can use and love today.
Each bag varies slightly in size shape, proportion and texture. They come with either a red stripe, blue stripe, or more rarely a red/white and blue stripe.
They are trimmed with chocolate brown Italian bridle leather for the handles and removable side straps. The bag has magnetic fasteners, inside pockets and stripy linings.
- Recycled.
This item will be dispatched using a Royal Mail 1st Class 'Signed for' service and will therefore be trackable should there be any delay.
"Durable, beautiful, fairly traded and useful products from reused materials - this is the essence of green."
