Our Charity Partners

Who we are working with

Examples of our partnership work

We are pleased to be working with a number of the UK’s leading nature, conservation and environmental charities and not-for-profits.  Our Managing Director, Graham Simmonds, was the founding Chief Executive of Trees for Cities and having spent 12 years building the charity up prior to becoming our MD, his in-depth experience of the charity sector means we have a good understanding of the needs of our charity partners (Graham is still deeply involved with Trees for Cities as Chair of the Trustee Board).

Our work with Charities falls into two distinct areas:

Helping to raise awareness around causes and campaigns (and we are particularly keen to work with charities that encourage ethical consumption as this is fundamental to our mission and values).

Raising funds for charities by stocking charity T shirts, virtual “good gifts” and other products in Our Green Shop  - and we are also helping charities raise funds by sharing revenues on sales through Our Green Shop that come from directly from our Charity Partners.

Example 1 - Trees for Cities

With Graham’s background, it isn’t surprising that we are working closely with Trees for Cities!  Current partnership activities include offering a range of the charity’s merchandise for sale for cash or points in Our Green Shop; articles and news stories from the charity published on our site; and we have teamed up on a Christmas fundraising campaign which encourages Trees for Cities supporters to do their Christmas shopping green and ethically with a donation back to the charity on all transactions made by its supporters.

Example 2 - Aspinall Foundation

We will be helping to raise funds for the Aspinall Foundation by offering enrolment into the Foundation’s unique pre-paid card through the Charities and Finance section of Our Green Shop. We also hope to have Aspinall gifts and other products in Our Green Shop shortly.
