An innovative new series of children’s tree characters, “The Treebillies”, is today being launched exclusively at Green Rewards.
The Treebillies is the brain-child of the illustrator Terry Carter and the environmentalist Graham Simmonds (Graham is founder and managing director at Green Rewards as well as chairing the environmental charity Trees for Cities). The first two books in the series, Oscar the Oak and Wendy the Willow, have been published by Treehouse Publishing and are exclusively available in our online Green Shop.
Offered for sale at £4.95 each, the books are aimed at pre-school and early readers and anyone buying a book will also earn Green Points, the unique eco loyalty currency operated by Green Rewards.
A donation is being made to the Trees for Cities charity for every book sold, and Sharon Johnson, chief executive at Trees for Cities, comments: “Trees for Cities is delighted to be involved in this project as we are always on the look-out for innovative ways to get young people involved in trees, and I can see how the Treebillies will really capture people’s imagination. And as a parent with young children, I’ve already got my order in!”
